Nursery Class Page

Welcome to Nursery!

We are delighted to welcome you and your little ones to our Nursery at St. Cuthbert's School. We are excited to embark on this journey with you and your child, as we work together to provide a rich and engaging learning experience that lays the foundation for a lifetime of curiosity and joy in learning.

Our approach to learning is guided by the Early Learning Goals, which set out the key areas of development for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Through play-based activities, exploration, and discovery, we aim to help your child achieve these goals while having fun and building confidence along the way.

Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Communication and Language are the areas of the curriculum that we really focus on.  Our aim is that your child becomes independent, able to communicate their needs, take charge of their own self-care and build strong relationships with both the children and adults within the Nursery.

At St. Cuthbert's, we uphold Gospel values and virtues in all aspects of our learning environment. We believe in nurturing kindness, respect, and compassion in every child, fostering a community where love and understanding prevail.

St. Cuthbert, our patron saint, inspires us to follow in his footsteps by embodying the values of humility, courage, and integrity. Just like St. Cuthbert, we strive to create a safe and supportive space where every child can grow and flourish in mind, body, and spirit.
