Year 3 Class Page

Welcome to Year 3! In Year 3, the children are taught by Miss Taylor and supported by Mrs. Layton. This year we will focus on nurturing your child’s well-being, spirituality and academic growth. We offer a safe and loving environment where children feel confident to be themselves and thrive in their learning.

We engage in exciting activities that foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. Your child will explore subjects such as English, Maths, Science, History, Spanish and hands-on projects in art and DT.

We focus on learning and living God’s Word and teachings. We will study the Gospel virtues, they guide us to be kind, honest, responsible, and caring individuals. As a Sacramental year, Year 3 children are guided through this important preparation with help from staff, the parish and you as parents.

Parental support plays a crucial role in helping children in Year 3 succeed. Simple ways to help your child include establishing a routine for homework, providing a quiet study space, reading together daily, and engaging in conversations about their day. Your encouragement and involvement make a big difference in your child's learning journey. Your support is truly appreciated!

We want every child in Year 3 to thrive academically and emotionally. Join us on this wonderful journey in Year 3, where we cultivate a love for learning!

Class Saint: Saint Martin De Porres

Saint Martin De Porres is the Patron Saint of racial harmony.

"Compassion is preferable to cleanliness. Reflect that with a little soap I can easily clean my bed covers, but even with a torrent of tears I would never wash from my soul the stain that my harshness toward the unfortunate would create."
