St Margaret of Castello Hub Page

Saint Cuthbert’s school opened Saint Margaret of Castello Hub in September 2023. Staff include Mrs. Garvey, Mrs. Dennis, Ms. Jarvis an Ms Silva.

Our dedicated staff provide a positive learning environment for pupils by removing barriers to learning and providing an education appropriate to each child’s need. Existing skills are built upon and new skills are developed individually.  We believe it is crucial to develop firm foundations using a child centered approach, the individual’s likes and dislikes are built upon throughout their personal journey.

Saint Margaret’s journey was difficult, she was blind, deformed and unwanted by society, despite her ailments, she was an educator, kind, patient and saw the best in all people. Saint Margaret believed that all people can learn if they receive good teaching and, in the Hub, we provide a safe and happy environment for children to develop lifelong communication skills and strive for them to become valued members of modern society.

We dedicated our Hub to Saint Margaret because of her dedication to learning, belonging, working with families and becoming a beautiful image of God’s love.

Our Mission Statement reflect the teachings of Christ and in particular we focus on “ensuring everyone’s needs are met” and we do this by looking at each child individually and reflecting on how best to support them.

If you require any advice or assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
